Arriving to work every day is like returning to my second home. My co-workers are my family, they possess the same passion and drive that I do. The atmosphere is my sanctuary, where I can express myself and execute my creativity without any limits.
My day at the salon commences with going through the appointment book, checking through my clients for the day, making mental notes of what services they have previously received, and what products they have purchased for the upkeep of their hair at home.
I feel it is extremely important to not only listen and try my hardest to deliver what my clients’ request, but to have a personal relationship with them and their hair. I think it is vital to educate my clients on how to maintain the condition of their hair once they leave the salon, and advise them on what to do to achieve maximum longevity of their service, whilst demonstrating styling techniques that are achievable at home. With my upbeat and inviting energy, I want to make my clients feel like they are visiting an old friend when they step foot into the salon. In the past, I have met several clients who have dreaded visiting a salon due to a poor encounter. My goal is to make their experience at the salon engaging, comfortable and memorable – allowing them to look forward to returning for their next service.

Not only do I believe in offering a positive and successful service, I also want my clients to know that hairdressing is what I love, and am most passionate about. By providing an enjoyable experience for my clientele, it creates a ‘cause and effect’ philosophy, therefore enabling them to recommend me to their fellow peers, friends and family.
Social media plays a vital role in inviting new clients to the salon. Therefore, I am constantly photographing and documenting the journey I share with my clients, as well as any work outside the salon, such as participating in charities, fashion shows, or private photo shoots.
A strong relationship with my co-workers is also imperative. I ensure that I am a team player, and endeavor to assist my colleagues to the best of my ability, as they do the very same for me. By working together effectively, a day at the salon is efficient, and transpires without friction. In addition to this, we can bounce ideas and inspiration off one another, thus enabling each other to achieve our fullest potential.
My ongoing positive energy towards the industry, my eagerness to learn new skills and to perfect current techniques, my drive to push my own boundaries and challenge myself every day, my attention to detail, and the ambition to astonish and truly satisfy my clients are reasons why I love what I do.
